Let’s harness the aromatherapeutic benefits of 5 essential oils that can be a game-changer in setting the tone for a positive, energized day. Our sense of smell is a powerful influencer of mood, and as we wake up and try to shake off the grogginess of sleep, the right scents can work wonders. There are a few essential oils that are known for their awakening properties that not only stimulate the olfactory senses but also have the potential to shift our perspective for the entire day.

The science behind how certain aromas influence emotions and contribute to a refreshed and rejuvenated state involves the complex interplay between our olfactory system, brain, and emotional centers. The olfactory system, responsible for our sense of smell, is intricately connected to the limbic system—a set of structures in the brain associated with emotions, memory, and motivation.

When we inhale aromatic compounds from essential oils, they have been found to stimulate olfactory receptors located in the nose. These receptors send signals to the olfactory bulb, which processes the information and transmits it to the limbic system. The limbic system then activates the release of neurotransmitters and hormones, including serotonin and endorphins, which are associated with mood regulation and a sense of well-being. So just by smelling scents that are awakening, refreshening, uplifting and energizing we can deeply shift our mood, and shift our outlook.

And when we incorporate essential oils into our shower routine, this sensory experience can enhance our overall well-being and significantly improve mood and motivation throughout the day, making them a powerful tool in our arsenal for daily success.

Let’s unlock the secrets to crafting your own DIY shower gels with essential oils—because a mindful morning routine might just be the key to a more vibrant, energized, and fulfilling day.

"I recently researched the best treatment for dry skin and scalp...I then came across some helpful info on the benefits of Jojoba oil and decided to look for an organic brand. Your oil is truly wonderful. I now use it exclusively for skin and scalp, only adding frankincense essential oil for its calming effects. This combo is exceptional. I'm very glad I found Cliganic."
